About Sharon Anderson

Sharon works as a practising visual artist and art teacher from her studio/gallery. Her main mediums are painting, screenprinting, cyanotype and pastel drawing. She is now experimenting with abstract photography.

In 2018 she worked in painting and graduated with a High Distinction in Masters of Visual Arts at Federation University; The Gippsland Centre for Art and Design. Sharon began lecturing in painting, printmaking and other media at Federation University, a chance to pass on her skills.

As part of Sharon’s business, Art-Fx, she designs and screenprints a range of artworks and tea towels. Commissioned pet portraits in pastel are created from photographs. As an advocate for community art, Sharon has been involved with the Artist Run Initiative; ARC Yinnar since 1984. Arc is a unique space as it is the longest continuously run artist space in Australia. 

Sharon is a founding member of Moartz (est 2000) another respected community arts organisation which runs the annual Open Studios Latrobe event.
