The Still Life Stories series of pastels feature personal bits and pieces from Sharon's past.
'Memories of Ingrid and Bob' The green dish was a present to me from Ingrid. The small coffee cup and saucer were part of a series of food pastels I created using Bob's special cakes and pastries. Both of these friends have since passed away.
'Nana's Baking day' has the mixing bowl, scone cutter and pie dishes her grandmother used on her baking day on the farm many years ago.
'Reflecting the past' is filled with items to bring back childhood memories. The green vase, the silver tea-pot, tea spoon and the amber glass bowl each have their own story to tell.
'Time forTea' has two teapots given to me in two very different times. The oil burner is used in my studio and the shells were found when I recently had to move studio. Lots of memories.
'Everything goes with black' features my favourite black boots both bought in the 1980's and nether I can part with. Even the belt doesn't fit any more! I am a hoarder!
'Eyes Right!' This collection has my childhood cat bowl, the only item looking left, my piggy bank, my mothers salt and pepper shakers and biscuit barrel. The orange top jug I actually used in my studio and the other jug belonged to my grandmother. It didn't work but she kept it anyway.
